Just a Moment
for Marion Pennicuik
A story tied together with a string of words each one carefully compared to truth repeats what the heart already knows tells its version of the tale
A tiny moment springs a word a beginning a middle and its end a single note in life’s nocturne beats against the heart
Every breath every heartbeat each living thought the dream the sigh they are born they live and then they die
I hear a new note beginning the hammer heading for the string another gift to treasure for the heart to sing |
