William O’Hagan

William O’Hagan is currently Managing Director and Chairman of Delap & Waller, a position he has held since 1988. Mr. O’Hagan joined the Northern Ireland Practice in 1978, became Manager in 1980, and became a Director in the Practice in 1981. Also in 1981, the firm acquired Varming & Mulcahy in Northern Ireland and increased the number of employees and the client base. The firm has become the largest Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Practice in Northern Ireland.

Under his leadership, the Practice developed offices in Derry and Antrim, and achieved ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, the first building services consultancy firm to achieve these environmental quality standards. The Practice continues to strive to be the most professional and most efficient consultancy firm in Ireland.

Delap & Waller also has offices outside Northern Ireland located in London, Dublin, Sligo, Cork and Limerick with a total workforce of 175. The company is employed by a number of blue-chip companies throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom, including: Coca-Cola, Esso Petroleum, Fyffes, Kingfisher Group (B&Q and Superdrug), Marks & Spencer, McDonald's Restaurants, Sainsburys and Tesco.

Mr. O’Hagan holds multiple Directorships for Delap and Waller and is also a Board Member of NICENT (NI Council), Advisory Board Member of Speedwell, and is Past Chairman for the North West Branch BITC Professional Firms Groups.

Mr. O’Hagan earned a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer. He is also a Fellow of the Association of Consulting Engineers and a Fellow of the Institute of Healthcare Engineering & Estate Management.
